Love & Rockets #28

Just in time for the holidays, my latest Shelf Life is up at Sequart. This one includes one of the finest single stories in the series thus far, Gilbert's biography of Frida Kahlo. Jaime's stories are good too, especially "Tear It Up, Terry Downe," which is among my favorites of his Locas stories to date. 2007 has been a good year for me. I managed to get through 16 issues (which considering that my first child was born in August, is quite an accomplishment), including the classics "Blood of Palomar" and "The Death of Speedy Ortiz." I have a much deeper appreciation for the work of Los Bros than I did when I started the year, and I'm excited to get into Gilbert's "Poison River" and Jaime's "Wig Wam Bam," among others, in 2008.
