As a boy, I dreamed of two things - being a comic book artist and being a major league baseball player. Brian Allen McCall is the only man alive to have done both (he played for the Chicago White Sox and also published a story in an early '80s issue of Heavy Metal), and I recently interviewed him for the Comics Journal. It was a fascinating discussion and McCall is a vastly under-appreciated artist.
