Love & Rockets #26
My new Shelf Life is finally up at Sequart. I really struggled to finish this one, partly because of the little guy, who's been eating into my free time, but the real reason was that I really had a lot to say about Gilbert's Human Diastrophism, which is, without a doubt, the single most complex comic book story I've ever read. There are so many plots and characters interwoven together, and so much happening both on the surface and on a deeper thematic level. I held a lot of my more in depth analysis until the final chapter, so this particular column is much longer than the others. I'm sure it could use an edit or two, but right now I'm focused on #27.
